Why GE Prices are cheaper than most other sources?
Great Expeditions uses Globester who specializes in Consolidator tickets. Airlines sell blocks of tickets at discounted prices to Consolidators which are then sold to other consumers such as Priceline, etc. Globester sells these tickets to Great Expeditions through their Internet portal thereby eliminating the significant expense incurred by traditional retail channels. Tickets are for seats on regular scheduled airlines.
Why does flexible travel save me money?
Destination flights are grouped together giving best value and savings for travel dates. Weekends are most desirable and thus more expensive, while weekday departure seats need to be filled and offer the best values. This means that you may have to travel earlier or later in the day to obtain the value flights.
How does the booking process work?
Initial Search
An email is sent to Great Expeditions advising (1) departure and arrival cities and dates
(2) How many seats are required (3) Flexibility as to leaving day before or after for best deal
Best Itineary deal is returned for review.
Email order
If selected, a second email is sent to Great Expeditions with complete names of travelers, seat selection requests (* sometimes not available) and credit card for purchase.
See terms and conditions.
As soon a booking is made with Globester's secure site, an e-mail is sent to the customer with the booking details. A second e-mail is sent with ticket numbers and other required details.
Why is there no live customer air service offered from Great Expeditions?
Great Expeditions and Globester pass the savings directly to its customers with the cheapest possible consolidated airfares. We only offer airlines and flights available and
cannot search for specific air lines and customized air travel.
